Like many Russian films after 1990, it is a form of exorcism against the shadows of past. but from a different angle because it is an Ortodox Christian animation . a girl , daugther of a late priest, in an orphanage, in the period of the Great Lent of 1943. the war, the delators, the malice of childs, the meet with Saint Seraphin of Sarov, the cleaning lady who, in fact, is the master of house, the mix of past and present, the teacher reminding Cruella Deville are few basic pieces of this film who has an only sin - the desire to use American animation technique who creates not the most inspired result. but it is one of most seductive, for message, story and characters, for the rebuild of dark past Stalinian traits and for its end contemporary animations. and this fact did the story of Seraphima a real must see for entire family. because, one of the lead good points of it remains the subtle, precise, delicate and convincing manner to give to it the status of portrait of the senses for the word "miracle".

A wonderful animation that speaks the language of the heart. The cartoons of the protagonist girls are so adorable. The character of Seraphima and her example show us in an enjoyable way, how important is to be authentic, true and ultimately strong and solid. I think that moovie's charming way can win over both young and olders.
