A nice portrait of the childhood universe, fair, precise, amusing and just touching. Friendship, envies, effort to trick a venerable man for a cigarette package, an older boy as Trojan horse, beer and the first video. Short, just charming.

SHINEY - Coming of Age Done Right!

Paul Holbrook's short film SHINEY is a punky-fun, highly stylized coming of age film with a knock out cast of young talent who have a film grasp on comedic timing and delivery! KATIE FRANCIS stands out in particular in the leading role as she commands the screen with her bombastic personality! Finally, a coming of age story that really packs a punch in an interesting, non-traditional way! Truly a fantastic piece of cinema and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
